The Journey to Vega novellas have been my most well-received stories, and now there is one more. Ghost of Time is now available. It is the intriguing story of a young officer who finds herself alone on a ship designed to carry over twenty-thousand people to a new world in a far away star system.
Now there are three novellas in the series of stand-alone stories that are set on generation ships transporting the last of humankind in an ambitious mission to find a fresh start on a new planet. The stories revolve around various moments of crisis that the passengers and crew need to resolve as each one poses an existential threat to the Vega ships or the mission as a whole.
Reception of these stories includes the common refrain that each one is too short, which I find humorous and encouraging. I recognize that readers have limited time, and have created these stories to fit into compressed recreational time. The novellas’ lengths are attractive for busy individuals, and my book sales show that readers approve. The fact that some readers find my novellas too short is testament to how much they are enjoyed. Readers want more story, more action, more pages. While I continue to create more novellas, I am hoping to have full-length sci-fi novels again at some point for my fans to read. I hope the fans stick around and are patient through the creative process that delivers the books I have on the go.
